1. Who controls your information
AudSite is the controller of personal information used to provide the AudSite website-auditing service. Contact us through our contact page with privacy questions or requests.
Paddle separately acts as merchant of record and processes checkout, billing, tax, fraud-prevention and transaction information under its own Privacy Policy.
2. Information we collect
- Account details, including name, email address and securely hashed password.
- Agency information, including logos, colours, fonts, business address and team details.
- Report information, including submitted website addresses, publicly available website signals, generated findings and report history.
- Subscription and transaction references received from Paddle, such as customer, transaction, price and subscription identifiers and payment status. AudSite does not need to store your full card details.
- Messages and support information you send to us.
- Basic technical and security data, such as request time, browser information, IP-derived location and server logs, where enabled.
3. How we use information
We use information to create and manage accounts; run scans and generate reports; apply agency branding; provide downloads and report history; administer allowances and subscriptions; prevent misuse; provide support; maintain security; and comply with legal obligations.
4. Lawful bases
Where UK GDPR applies, we process information because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, because we have legitimate interests in operating and securing AudSite, because we must comply with legal obligations, or because you have given consent where consent is required. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
5. Automated report generation
AudSite uses automated analysis and AI-assisted processing to prepare findings from website signals. Submitted URLs, extracted technical signals and report instructions may be sent to service providers used to generate the report. Do not submit private, confidential or personal information in a website address. Reports support human decision-making and should be reviewed before being relied upon.
6. Who receives information
We may share only the information necessary with hosting, database, security, email, analytics, AI-processing and document-generation providers; Paddle for purchases and subscriptions; professional advisers; and public authorities where legally required. Providers must process information for the agreed purpose and protect it appropriately.
7. International transfers
Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use recognised safeguards such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections.
8. Retention
We retain account and report information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for support, security, dispute and legal purposes. Transaction records may be retained for legally required accounting periods. We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed, subject to backup cycles and legal obligations.
9. Local storage and cookies
AudSite uses essential browser storage for sign-in state, security and agency preferences. Paddle may use cookies or similar technology during checkout for payment, fraud prevention and service operation. With your consent, Google Analytics uses cookies and related identifiers to measure visits, page interactions, approximate location, device and browser information, and referral sources. Analytics is disabled unless you select “Accept analytics”. Google may process this information as described in its privacy documentation. 10. Security
We use measures including password hashing, restricted database access, HTTPS in production, webhook signature verification and access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a unique password and protect your account.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, and complain to a regulator. UK users may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
12. Changes
We may update this policy as AudSite, our providers or legal requirements change. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
